State Representative | 21st District | Democrat
I was raised by working parents in Everett, and they taught me my strong work ethic and gave me a clear perspective on the challenges facing Washington’s working families. I was born at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds and attended Mukilteo schools. I was fortunate to study international politics at Georgetown University, and I am working on a graduate degree at the University of Washington.
For four years, I worked as a small green builder, constructing homes in South Snohomish County. This business experience and my commitment to building a better community were what propelled me into public service.
As an elected official, first as a Mukilteo City Councilman and now as State Representative, I have used all these experiences to take on the problems, needs and opportunities facing our community. In my first term in the Legislature, I was proud to deliver real results to protect consumers, improve our K-12 education system, and to expand affordable housing. I am dedicated to fighting for our working families, and I ask for your support.
